  • Welcome Back to School

I hope that you have all enjoyed a wonderful summer, full of adventures and spending time with family and friends.

I look forward to hearing about what you have been up to in the holidays, as well as giving a warm welcome to pupils and staff who join us here at Friars this term.

Congratulations to those who sat exams last summer and achieved such good results in August, which were the result of a great deal of hard work and diligence from you. A huge thank you goes to every member of staff who supported the learning for the exams.

We start our term with a challenge for each of you as individuals which will last the year.

It is a tough one as no one else will hold you to account, monitor your progress, or measure what you have done.

The challenge is to ask yourself at the end of each day: “Have I stretched myself today and made the most of the opportunities I have before me?”

I hope that this is a challenge you will grip, Carpe Diem!

    Have a brilliant term.

    Yours

    Mr Hattam
