I write to you at the end of another term that has been packed full of learning, activities and success. I marvel at our pupil’s ability to see the good in all they do, whatever the outcome.
Resilience is a word that, in my humble opinion, is used too often without a real understanding of where it comes from. It is not something that we teach from a book, it is experiential and our pupils - your children - develop it every day.
From standing for fifty minutes in the cold and wet at our Remembrance Service, to the Hockey and Rugby teams growing and developing through the season. We have seen high-quality music being performed (including our new Boys' Choir), and pupils have taken to the stage at the end of a long term to give us an evening of laughter with the Addams Family Musical. There has been so much more along the way.
My thanks go to my colleagues who go above and beyond daily to surround our children with opportunities aplenty, and to our Trustees who give so much time and expertise willingly.
To you, our parents, I thank you for your support and for not just giving us the privilege of educating your children, but for buying into our school community.
To everyone in the school between the ages of three to eighteen, enjoy the break. Exam year groups, please do some revision but ensure you look after yourselves and keep a healthy balance.
I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and I look forward to seeing you in 2026.
Yours
Chris
